We warmly invite you to participate in an international seminar organised by our UNESCO Chair and the Center for Research and Practice in Cultural Continuity at the University of Warsaw.
The event will take place on 21 May 2026 in the Prof. Jan Baszkiewicz Auditorium at the University of Warsaw. The seminar is organised on the occasion of the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development and will focus on the role of language as a key carrier of intangible cultural heritage.
The programme includes an opening session addressing the significance of language in the context of intangible cultural heritage, followed by two panel discussions:
- “Minority Languages and Cultural Diversity”
- “Technology and Artificial Intelligence in Intangible Cultural Heritage”
At the end of the seminar, participants will be invited to join a walk concluding with a concert dedicated to Warsaw’s traditional street music. The concert is organised by the Warsaw Intangible Cultural Heritage Team to commemorate the Street Orchestra from Chmielna Street.
The seminar will be held in English and will take place in person only. A recording will be made available afterwards.
Participation is open to all interested individuals; however, registration is required. We particularly encourage students, doctoral candidates, researchers, and all those interested in cultural heritage to attend.
