On 22 May, 2024 students of the Cultural Policy Program at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies, University of Warsaw, had the unique opportunity to participate in creative thinking workshop using MuBaBao blocks. Workshop were led by the creator of MuBaBao blocks, Michał Malinowski, who is also the Director of the Storyteller Museum. Workshop was a part of a course by Prof. Hanna Schreiber, UNESCO Chairholder.

What is MuBaBao?

MuBaBaO is an extraordinary set of blocks that encourages to explore the possibilities of imagination. The set consists of various blocks of various shapes and sizes that can be combined into endless combinations. From simple structures to complex structures, the possibilities are almost infinite. The main goal of MuBaBaO is to develop creative thinking through play.

What was the aim of workshop?

The students aim was to explore, without any further instructions, the theme: “an invention that will improve international cultural relations”. Outcomes of students work were incredibly intriguing.

Additional dimension – using AI

What’s more, constructions were further developed with the help of AI tools. Imaginary landscapes created within the use of AI turned out to be even more fascinating.

A big thank you to Michał Malinowski for the inspiring workshop!
